Mark Thress

Mark Thress, Tenor, is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and recently completed both a Master’s of Music in Vocal Performance and a Master of Arts in Vocal Pedagogy from the Ohio State University, under the tutelage of Dr. Scott McCoy.  Mark received First Place in the Inaugural NATS National Student Auditions in the Upper Collegiate Men’s Division.  Previous roles with OSU and JMU Opera and Lyric theater include: Prunier (La rondine), Rodolfo (La bohème), Tamino (Die Zauberflöte), Nemorino (L’elisir d’amore).  Mark currently resides in Nashville, TN and is honored to have the opportunity to collaborate with Opera Columbus.
