South Korean baritone Chonghwa Kim has emerged as one of the most exciting young singers of today. As a professional singer, Mr. Chonghwa has appeared as a soloist with the Canadian Sinfonietta Orchestra, Seoul Arts High School Orchestra, Volkskammer Opera, Bethesda International Festival, Pacific Music Festival.
He is also a prize winner of several competition including the OSAKA International Music Competition, La bella Concorso di Canto Lirico, Washington International Competition for Voice, Premiere Opera International Competition, Canadian Sinfonietta Young Artist Competition, Metropolitan International Festival Competition for Opera Division, Mary Jacobs Smith Opera Competition of Shreveport Opera, McCammon Voice Competition. A native of South Korean, Mr, Chonghwa holds undergraduate degree from the Seoul National University and he is a second year Master degree candidate at the Mannes College of Music under the tutelage of Arthur Levy.
