Opera Columbus’ Vocal Competition was started by Irma Cooper years before the Bings became involved with OC. Thanks to the generous contribution from the Bing family, this competition was able to survive through difficult times. To honor his contribution, it was renamed the “Cooper-Bing Vocal Competition”.
