Eric Gibson is a stage director residing in Columbus, Ohio. Equally comfortable in musical theatre and opera, he has directed productions for Fargo-Moorhead Opera, Winter Opera, Opera Tampa, and Union Avenue Opera among others, and spent a dozen seasons with LOOK Musical Theatre in Tulsa staging musicals, operettas, and the entire Gilbert & Sullivan canon.
Gibson’s summers have taken him to Austria, Sweden, and Bulgaria and he currently serves as the acting teacher for IPAI, an operatic training program in Germany.
Gibson was Director of Opera at Northern Arizona University from 2015-2020, and is currently the opera stage director at The Ohio State University.
