Hailing from San José, Costa Rica, Kevin Godínez (baritone) is a third-year Resident Artist at the Academy of Vocal Arts under the tutelage of Mexican baritone, Luis Ledesma.
Mr. Godínez has quickly established himself as a multifaceted and award-winning singer in the Linus Lerner International Singing Competition, Giargiari Bel Canto Competition, Gerda Lissner Foundation Vocal Competition, and as the Tennessee District Winner of the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition 2023.
On the stage, Mr. Godínez has enjoyed an international career in Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America. Recent roles include Silvio (I Pagliacci), Peter (Hänsel und Gretel), Don Giovanni (Don Giovanni), Marcello and Schaunard (La bohème), Conte d’Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro) Gianni Schicchi (Gianni Schicchi), Giorgio Germont (La traviata), and Dottore Malatesta (Don Pasquale).
