Rosalie Palius was a life-long educator, an active community member both in Columbus and abroad, and proud Ohian. An elementary school teacher in Ohio, she met Charles Dryden, a professor at The Ohio State University, with whom she relocated to India to assist with education through USAID. A supporter of both the Columbus Symphony and the BalletMet, she was a frequent patron of Opera Columbus. An opera aficionado, Mrs. Palius left a company-saving bequest to Opera Columbus after her passing in 2005. The 2006 “Go Wild for Opera” at the Columbus Zoo was dedicated in her honor.
