Skye Johnson, soprano, earned her Bachelors in Music Performance with a Minor in Italian from The Ohio State University. As an operatic vocalist, she has performed with Opera Columbus, Opera Project Columbus, and Miami Music Festival in numerous shows including Rigoletto, The Merry Widow, Madama Butterfly, Pagliacci, and the title role in Massanet’s Cendrillon. Skye also has a deep love for musical theater, jazz, and cabaret music, and has most recently been seen as Jenny in Company!
As a life-long learner, Skye strives to strengthen her student’s technique and love of their preferred genre while introducing them to other genres and styles. In addition to teaching and performing, she is also the creator and co-host of 2 Bit Musicologists, a podcast dedicated to knocking classical music off its pedestal and revealing the eccentricities of composers and performers.
