Yosry Attia witnessed the birth of Opera Columbus as part of the Columbus Symphony, before it became an independent company forty years ago. He supported the opera company by attending almost all of our opera productions. He also hosted opera singers in his house when OC was to poor to pay hotel costs in the early times. Yosry participated in numerous events in support of the Columbus Opera. Yosry’s involvement with Opera Columbus started around 2005, when his daughter participated in Opera Columbus Academy. She later appeared in six opera productions in the children roles, and posted as Aida for a TV commercial for an OC production.
