Opera Columbus is dedicated to bringing opera to our community in new and exciting ways. Our Opera at Home series allows us to watch professional opera from the comfort of our living room, office, or anywhere. Through this series, you will have a variety of online resources to learn, teach, and enjoy the art form of opera. See you at the opera – Opera at Home, that is.

NIGHTLY MET OPERA STREAMS

The Metropolitan Opera hopes to brighten the lives of audience members even when the stage is dark. Each day, a different encore presentation from the Live in HD series will be made available for streaming. Watch outstanding performances from the past 14 years of cinema transmissions, starring all of opera’s greatest .

Opera America has compiled a schedule of streamed opera performances around the world. The Schedule of Performances is a searchable database of member companies’ performances from 1991 to the current season, which contains performance dates, locations, production teams and performers.

COVID-19

In compliance and appreciation of Ohio Governor DeWine’s executive order prohibiting gatherings of more than 100 people, Opera Columbus canceled all events and performances until April 30, 2020. In addition, the Cooper-Bing Competition has been updated to a virtual event.

During this time, Opera Columbus has decided to pay our artists who rely on performances for their livelihood. As a ticket holder to at least one of these events, I hope that you will consider donating your ticket(s) in an effort to help us offset these costs. If converting a ticket purchase to a donation is not possible, you have the option to credit your account for the value of your ticket toward a future Opera Columbus performance through the 20-21 Season.If your circumstances do not allow for either of these options, Opera Columbus will process a refund on your purchase. Contact the CBUSArts Ticket Center for a full refund to the original form of payment. The CBUSArts Ticket Center may be reached by email at tickets@cbusarts.com.

If you would like to donate your tickets, you can also just do nothing. Unless you notify us by April 30 that you would prefer to credit your purchase to a future performance, all purchased tickets for canceled productions will be counted as donations to OC on May 1, 2020.
