Siriah is making her documentary directorial debut with Visibili-T. The independent filmmaker was commissioned by Opera Columbus to create, what she calls, her dream project. Telling stories about under-represented groups is Siriah’s passion. Her most recent film, 45, tells the story of a man, living in poverty, finding it difficult to raise emergency funds and was nominated for Best Ohio Short by the Cindependent Film Festival. The director’s love of cinematography has led her down the ambitious path of shooting and directing her films. She believes that this is a wildly exciting time to be in film, as more and more women make a name for themselves, stepping into roles traditionally held by men.
